Does anyone else think Trashy Rappers/Celebrites ruined high end fashion?
I've been a mens shoe manager at Louis Vuitton in Beverly Hills and I've met everyone from Angelina Jolie to Jaleel White (Steve Eurkle on the sitcom Family matters) over the years and recently I'm sick of all these rappers coming into our store using profanity asking if they can smoke marijuana in the store and only buying fashion items embossed with our monogram print. One gentleman (younger man about 16) even asked me if a louis vuitton scarf looked bad around his face robber style (made for a woman mainly muslim women buy them to cover their face from my experience) I find out you have these rappers named gucci mane and everyone calls all of our products "louie" I see our fashion brand going the same way as tommy hilfilger with how many people counterfeit us once we became popular in the "urban community". This is really just a rant but I have put so much into this company I've even designed a few loafers and sandals. I hate to see these trashy people buying it for the sake of saying they got some "louie" and they got god forbid I say this I hear this all the time "swagger". This excuses rappers like kanye west who designed a few shoes for us about a year and a half ago. But I'm sick of low class people (of every race) coming into our stores and starting fights, trying to steal sunglasses, and cursing at employees. I feel as if now I work at mark ecko or some ghetto low class company.
