Why do cancers have less cytoplasm than normal cells?

Studying for a science test, and forgot to answer this question in class, can any one help? "Cancerous cells often have a large nucleus, and reduced cytoplasm. Why would they have less cytoplasm then normal cells?" ASAP? Thanks! ;)
